Due to financial and resource limitations and the unmet needs of patients, the number of early stage collaborations among academia and industry have increased in the last few years. These arrangements are usually put in place after a great deal of planning and negotiating. What is equally important is the management of the collaboration once the agreements are in place. This session will discuss the challenges associated with managing different perspectives within the collaboration, specifically the formal and informal aspects of the collaboration. Panelists will also share how they handle issues such as the sharing of information and data, intellectual property concerns and setting milestones.
