Having more than 30 years of experience, as a public manager Marco Fireman has his professional career built acting in the private and in public sector. Currently in charge of the Ministry of Health's Secretariat for Science, Technology and Strategic Inputs (SCTIE), he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a specialization in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). In 2015 he held the Presidency of the Brazilian Company of Urban Trains before being the vice-minister for Brazilian Health.
He was born in the state of Alagoas and has acted as a manager of several companies in the private sector, especially in agribusiness, real estate development and entertainment.
Between 2007 and 2014, he was the Secretary of State for Infrastructure in Alagoas, being responsible for Housing, Transportation, Sanitation and Water Infrastructure policies in the state, receiving an award by the National Housing Forum of National Interest for his commitment to the reconstruction works after the Alagoas’ flood of 2010.
