Dr. Ren is Member of the Ludwig Cancer Research, Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and Director of the UCSD Center for Epigenomics. He is a world leader in study of genome organization and epigenomics. He has developed transformative tools and concepts that revolutionized the global analysis of gene regulation. His seminal discovery of the topological domains has laid the foundation for understanding 3D genome architecture. He is a recipient of the Chen Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement in Human Genetic and Genomic Research, and an elected fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
