Ian Davies is currently Executive Director of Market Access Policy at Celgene. He is responsible for setting and leading the execution of the company’s market access policy positions globally to support the company’s current and future portfolio.
Previously Ian was Executive Director of Specialty Medicines for the Value, Access and Payment organization at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Prior to that role, Ian was Director of Market Access, Advocacy and Policy for the U.S. Virology franchise. Ian also spent 10 years at Novartis where he completed assignments in Global Marketing, Latin America regional headquarters, U.S. Product Marketing, Managed Markets and Patient Access in Oncology and Specialty Medicines.
Prior to joining Novartis, he was a management consultant for the Wilkerson Group and began his career at Merck & Co., Inc. where he was a European Government Affairs analyst in Brussels, Belgium, co-led the Public Affairs function in the company’s Spanish affiliate, completed a series of Global Public Affairs assignments and was a Product Manager in the U.S. Osteoporosis franchise.
Ian graduated with a B.A. in International Studies at the School of International Service at the American University and completed his MBA at AGSIM, the Thunderbird School of International Management.
